Srinagar, Jun 04 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Friday lashed out at the Centre government for unprecedented price hike in petrol and diesel, saying that people were living in the darkest era under BJP rule. “Government was punishing people under the garb of tax terror, unprecedented price hike and the irony was that nobody cares or listens to the grievances of common people, JKPCC said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). JKPCC has said that the wrong policies on the part of the BJP Govt was responsible for the economic losses caused to the country, resulting in there was restlessness at large scale to be seen among the people, who have suffered enormous losses on every front. “How long people will be punished under the garb of terror tax, unprecedented hike on petroleum products and essentials,” JKPCC questioned the BJP Govt at Centre, urging it to immediately roll back the prices, in the larger interest of common people. JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir said that petrol and diesel prices rule new highs across the country after hiked dozens of times in a month, causing huge inconvenience to people, who found it difficult to purchase petrol or diesel to run their vehicles or motor bikes. People were living in darkest era under BJP rule in the country, who were witnessing economic slowdown, huge losses rising unemployment and many other developmental issues concerning them, JKPCC President added and said the government must listen to grievances of the common people, who were feeling victimized due to the wrong policies adopted by the Govt—(KNO)
